The Menarini Group wishes to inform you - in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“ GDPR”) - on how it will process your personal data in case you will attend a training and/or event/conference that is sponsored by a Menarini Group Company (“ Event”).
What personal data?
If you attend an Event, the personal data that is processed about you may include: name, surname, job role, signature and other information required for your participation, such as address, hospitality, etc.
Who is the Data Controller?
The Data Controller is A. Menarini Farmaceutica Internazionale s.r.l (“AMFI”), with registered office at Via Dei Sette Santi 1, 50131 Firenze (Italy), or another Menarini Group Company that sponsors the Event (collectively “Sponsor”), whose contact details can be found at the following link https://www.menarini.com/en-us/countries. How will your personal data be used?
Sponsor will receive your personal data only if you have authorized Sponsor’s local partner (“Distributor”) to transfer such data to the Sponsor. Sponsor will receive and process your personal data to enable your participation in the Event (legal basis: performance of a contract with you, if invitations are managed directly by the Sponsor and/or Sponsor’s legitimate interest to monitor and improve the efficacy of its events, if the invitations are managed through the Distributor) and/or for post-event accounting and compliance controls (legal basis: Sponsor’s legitimate interest to monitor its commercial partners, providers and suppliers).
For how long will your personal data be retained?
Your personal data will be deleted as soon as the above-mentioned purpose is achieved, unless in case of legal obligations it is required to maintain the data for a longer period of time.
With whom your personal data be shared?
Your personal data may only be accessible to the staff duly authorised to process them, and especially to the staff of the administration bodies and other persons who need to process them in the performance of their duties. The personal data may be also transferred to: (i) institutions, authorities, public bodies for their institutional purposes; (ii) third parties and providers used by the Data Controller for the provision of services necessary to pursuit the above purposes; and (iii) other Menarini Group Companies for the same purposes as indicated above and/or for administrative and accounting purposes. The persons receiving your personal data shall process them as Data Controllers, Data Processors or authorised processors for the purposes indicated above and in compliance with the applicable law on personal data. With regard to the possible transfer of personal data to Third Countries, the Data Controller represents that such transfer will be carried out in accordance with one of the methods permitted by applicable law, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (full details are available on request).
How to exercise your privacy rights?
Although Sponsor is not keeping your data for longer than necessary to achieve the purpose for which it has been collected, You may contact the Menarini Group’s DPO at any time to exercise your rights (art. 15-22 GDPR). You have the right to access your personal data and to obtain a copy, to ask for your data rectification or correction, to ask that the processing of your personal data is restricted and for your data erasure, to oppose to the processing of personal data for legitimate reasons, as well as to request your data portability, etc. You can also notify the Menarini Group’s DPO of any objections you may have on the use of your persona data, which you consider inappropriate and/or lodge a complaint with the competent Data Protection Authority ( http://www.garanteprivacy.it/).
